Every now and then, when I'm in my car, I'll switch the radio over to the local Christian Churchy People station. I'm not a churchy person, but God and I are on the same page, so its all good. But mostly I listen for the entertainment prospects.
Because sometimes those Churchy Radio People can really be entertaining. I know, who knew right?!
Today they were talking about well, Porn. That alone was enough to make me chuckle. I mean, how can you change the station when the Churchy Radio People are discussing porn?! I just couldn't, Amen.
They were talking about how wives are devastated to learn that their husbands look at porn and how its the same as cheating and blah blah blah (insert boring stuff here). Then the CRP's went on to explain that like some group way back when that got their groove on in some kind of temple, porn was going to be the downfall of our society.
Now I'm not a porn star, have never danced around a pole, or otherwise shown my bewbies to strangers (though I nearly had to one time during a poker game...). Anyway, it got me to thinking.
Doesn't God love porn stars too?!?!?
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought God wanted us to not judge people, help them out, forgive them, etc etc etc.
But hell no! Here are the CRP's running down the porn stars! And as I see it, that's almost like hypocrisy or a sin or something. Hello judgmental, yo.
So I listened further to these soft-voiced, wouldn't say "shit" if they had a mouthful of it, CRP's and not ONCE did they mention that maybe these porn stars were single moms, or widows, or donating the proceeds to charity. Sure, its a stretch, but it could happen right???
But damn, they were ALL about the judging, the veiled name calling, and the blame game. It was kind of sad really. Not because I care what other people think, but after a while, I was rooting for the underdog porn stars on this one. Yes I was. I don't like it when one group picks on another without the other group being there to defend themselves. That's just dirty bidness.
So since I disagree that porn stars are the downfall of our society, I then decided to figure out who the true evil do'ers were. I was trying to figure out just what group of people is influential, segregational, willing to do whatever to better their interests, threatening, and a general menace to free thinking.
And it dawned on me somewhere between the russet potatoes and the Olathe corn....
Its the Churchy Radio People.
